The Workshop is the first crafting building you are allowed to build in Castleville.

You must build this to craft certain items to further yourself in the game. You can have 4 Workshops in your kingdom.

It is convenient to build two workshops even early in the game to produce items such as Exploration Crystals, Wood Planks and Stone Blocks.
